Gravity Ride Submits First iPhone Application

TFRs : Temporary Flight Restrictions was just submitted to Apple for review. If all goes well, it should be available on the iTunes AppStore in 2-4 weeks.

Quickly check for TFRs (Temporary Flight Restrictions). The Federal Aviation Administration frequently updates all TFR NOTAMs (Notice To All Airmen). All pilots are required to abide by all TFRs, so don't leave the hangar without checking the current TFRs!

Features:

- View graphical TFR maps of the entire United States
- Active TFRs are visually displayed in red on the maps
- Zoom in and out on TFR maps (multi-touch pinch)
- Scroll around maps by dragging the image
- Search for all active TFRs by State
- Search for all active TFRs by Center
- View full TFR descriptions, formatted for your iPhone screen
- Plain English TFR descriptions on the majority of new TFRs
- View sectional charts with the TFR area displayed in red
- Realtime data downloads directly from the FAA

WARNING:
This application is a fantastic pilot aid. However, it is not a replacement for a full pre-flight briefing. Pilots should always check with a flight service briefer, prior to flight, to obtain the latest NOTAMS and TFRs.

Requirements:
- iPhone/iPodTouch OS 2.0 or later
- Active Internet network connection.
